Activities Coordinator - Oakhaven care home (Leeds)

Location: Leeds LS8 2PE

Pay: £12.21 Per Hour  

Hours: 20 hours per week /  Monday – Sunday ( Mix of Mornings, Afternoons & Weeknds) 

Job Type: Part Time, Permanent

We are looking for a creative and enthusiastic Activity Coordinator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for planning and executing a variety of activities and programs that enhance the physical, mental, and emotional well-being of our residents.

 

What You’ll be Doing

·        Design and organize a wide range of activities and events for residents.

·        Promote a positive and inclusive atmosphere within the care home.

·        Work collaboratively with other staff members to ensure activities are well-coordinated and integrated into daily routines.

·        Encourage residents to participate and engage in activities.

·        Customize activities to suit the individual needs and preferences of residents.

·        Maintain accurate records of resident participation and feedback.

·        Ensure all activities adhere to health and safety regulations.

 

What You’ll Need

·        Minimum of 1 year  experience in a similar role within a care home or related setting.

·        Previous experience working with Dementia, Mental Health, physical disability.

·        Compassionate and patient, with a genuine interest in enhancing the lives of residents.

·        Strong organizational and planning abilities.

·        Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

·        Creativity and enthusiasm for developing engaging activities.

·        Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
