Salary: £180,000 - £200,000 per annum

Hours: 40 Hours a week / Monday - Friday ( Oncall rota)

Waterloo Manor Hospital is the largest female personality disorder service in the United Kingdom, providing specialized assessment and treatment for women with complex mental health needs.

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Consultant Psychiatrist to join our team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality care and support to our patients, helping them manage their mental health and achieve their personal recovery goals.

 

What You’ll be Doing 

  • Provide direct care and support to patients with complex mental health needs.

  • Develop and implement individualized care plans.

  • Conduct comprehensive psychiatric assessments and diagnose mental health conditions.

  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure holistic care.

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records.

  • Offer emotional support and therapeutic interventions.

  • Offer support and education to patients and their families about mental health conditions and treatments.

  • Ensure compliance with CQC regulations and standards.

  • Participate in staff training and development programs.

 

What You'll Need 

  • MBBS or equivalent medical qualification

  • Valid GMC Registration

  • MRCPsych or MRCPsych equivalent approved by the Royal College of Psychiatrists

  • Proven experience in mental health care, preferably with personality disorders.

  • Strong clinical and assessment skills.

  • To hold Section 12(2) approval to work in England and Approved clinician status

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.

  • Compassionate and empathetic approach to patient care.

  • Knowledge of healthcare regulations and best practices.

  • Experience of working within acute inpatient or community settings, ideally inpatient settings and have experience in risk assessment and risk management.
